Open Doors Purpose/Mission Statement

Purpose & Mission of Wellpinit Open Doors High School:

Provide education and services through a performance-based, individualized support model, to youth, ages 16-21, who have dropped out of school or are not expected to graduate from high school. To reengage disconnected youth by providing students multiple pathways to demonstrate career and college readiness. Students can earn their GED and participate in postsecondary or work readiness education (GED plus), earn a high school diploma or earn college credits/certificates or a two-year degree.

Provide an educational experience made up of Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, and Caring. Social and emotional development is considered a part of overall instruction where students build awareness and skills in managing emotions, setting goals, establishing relationships, and making responsible decisions that support them in school and life success.

Provide a program where decisions and resources are focused on the purpose of helping students achieve their graduation and post-graduation goals.

Mission:

To provide a place for new beginnings for all students where they can realize their full academic potential and achieve success in a learning environment designed to ensure that their academic and social-emotional needs are met.
